The Tech Savvy Gofer on Staff

The practice and perfection of time management have always been a passion of mine. I have always looked for systems to set in place in order to save time on daily repetitive activities. Few seconds here and there can add up to hours or even days over the course of a year. This is how My GA Online was born.

Every staff has that one coach that seems to be really good with computers and can get tasks done quickly and efficiently. I have always been that person on the coaching staff, even though I am not the young guy anymore. This is how a simple request leads to My GA Online’s ultimate goal of helping coaches, “Spend Less Time Working, and More Time Coaching.”

There are a lot of programs out there that work with video breakdown and strength training, but there are not that really focus on all the menial tasks that a coaching staff has to do. Programs big and small all need to manage their athletes, produce rosters, share information quickly, and mange depth charts. My GA Online started with a very complicated Excel spreadsheet that had many formulas to do produce some of the same foundational features of My GA.

Let’s be honest, keeping up with rosters, two deep, and athletic databases are extremely important but during a game plan week they are the last thing on a coach’s mind. The worst thing that can happen is if an athlete gets left off the roster or depth chart and seems forgotten, this automates that process. There are checks to see who is playing where, rosters and two deep are automatically changed with depth chart changes. My GA Online takes away all the worry of updating publication documents.

The ultimate goal is to free up time so coaches can spend more time game planning, watching film, meeting with kids, and most importantly, more time with their families.
